Good luck I’ve been doing it over a year and I can tell you it’s not for the weak. Hang In there you’ll get better I wanted to give up but I kept working and now I’m one of the top selectors.

I got experience of the warehouse… Can’t wait to join! I just did my assessment yesterday and PASSED IT.

I start orientation tomorrow. Manager told me my pay will be $27.50 (starting out) and I’m working in freezer (I know, really cold) the only position I could choose was order filling. They said if I don’t like, then after 60 or 90 days, I can change positions. Also got some shoes that feel like walking on a marshmallow so I can stand for a long ass time. Anything I should know?

Where are your work gloves or P.P.E.? Do they provide those?

How long did it take for you to hear from them after applying online? Or atleast with the next step after applying?

what does unloader/processor do, ? cause I've done drug testing and they schedule me for orientation for 2 days only half day each day...

It isn't weird. It is supposed to simulate how well you can visually, & intelligently handle work on the real job.

As some ppl aren't as tactful, & agile in their minds to do so. It may be as awful as playing chess / any other puzzles for that matter. Which could be a liability for the company if they do not properly do their jobs correctly. As well as, a detriment to the person in case they underwent an injury due to the lack of said assessment.

Long story short, they were assessing you all to see if you can strategically, & logically handle the overall responsibilities of the job. Despite it -- yes being a general labor job

Ill be working at meijers distribution center tomorrow not sure if its the same but is it true that you dont have a set schedule? like your shift ends when your work is done basically?

I work for Amazon, non conveyable meaning large heavy items, beds, furniture etc, I am leading the department and also a learning ambassador, training new hires through out the center. In my job area it is more women processing and we lift up the heavy stuff. We have equal men to women, working Inbound, outbound, all positions. My manager is a woman. From my experience, women can do warehouse work equally as men. I compare Amazon like vikings lol. Where women are in battle with men. Every day we battle loading trailers. I train orientation, pallet build, scanners, master on bar code readers

I have orientation for order filling from Sunday through Thursday, I begin to work on the floor that Saturday. Is it a whole week of sitting and watching videos or do they make you do physical things within that week?
