K&F Concept lens mount adapters that I use with Fuji cameras

In this video I review the lens mount adapters that I use with my Fuji X-mount cameras. I use M42 to X-mount adapters (M42-FX) and Nikon’s F-mount to X-mount adapters (Nik(G) – FX). The adapters are from K&F Concept. I’m using K&F Concept adapters because they offer good quality (metal build) for a good price. I show you my adapters, how to use the adapters and also talk about what settings you need to use on your Fujifilm camera to be able to use lenses with lens mount adapters. My overall conclusion is that the K&F Concept adapters are very adequate and suitable for my photography purposes.

I settled for the Fotasy ones I found on ebay. They're a lot cheaper than K&F. 12 bucks on ebay with free shipping from Brooklyn. They're solid. One thing you didn't mention, is on my adapters, there are allen wrench screws you can loosen to rotate the lens so that the settings like aperture, etc. are all on the top after it's all mounted on the body. Then you tighten those screws. The adapters come with allen wrenches. Not sure if you need to do the same. The cheap Fotasy price means I have one adapter for each vintage lens I have. Very handy. Hopefully it's also helping protecting me from my radioactive Pentax Takumar 50mm!

Thank you, Tom! I have watched a few videos on using adapters before, but you are first to explain how the aperture is set. That’s very helpful. 😃 I noticed that you fitted a Nikkor AF-S lens onto the Fujifilm camera with the KF Concept adapter. That’s what I would like to do too.

When installing a manual lens on the adapter, a small flight to infinity, the focus and aperture scales turned out to be at the bottom.

I've always been using the cheapest adapters without any problem. But now I purchased (it's still shipping) my first K&F adapter. I wonder how it compares to the cheap ones I usually buy.

Hey! I have just bought myself a Fuji X-T3 and have a couple of old Nikon F lenses. However, looking at a K&F adapter the site I’m looking at doesn’t mention the X-T3 as compatible with the adapter (the one shown in your video). Is it just that the site hast updated the product or is it true that the adapter won’t work with my X-T3?

As a beginner with a bunch of random/stupid but curious questions... Do you have to buy a certain mount adapter for your specific camera or can these adapters fit on multiple different types of camera? Say i have one for the fujifilm xt20, can you use multiple different brand lenses or is it just for one specific brand (like canon)? And lastly, if the adapter has an aperture ring, focus ring and other functions, but also your lens has the same functions, which do you use or how does that work? Im confused!
