I feel like everyone still thinks of Africa as a country and not a massive continent. Africa is so massive and has so many countries, cultures and languages, that it is impossible that all people's of Africa would have the same word for the continent.

In ancient india, Africa was known as Kushadvipa. For this reason the African people were also known as Kushites, also spelled as Cushites. Mean, island of green grass, forest life, land happiness n riches.. ♥️

In schools, they only teach what they what you to know. The late witch of Britain once said:"All the history books that you read in schools where written under our supervision, whatever you think you know, are just what we wanted you to know."And she was right about it.I feel very sad and useless when I think of all the amount of time that we've wasted in some of our history classes learning one thing, when the reality is another.Their forefathers tried their best to change the course of some civilizations, but it is written:"nothing is new under the sun and nothing can be carefully concealed under the heavens."

It’s wild how they robbed and pillaged. And won’t take accountability for the lingering consequences then have the nerve to insult its so evil

There was a kid in my class named Alkebulan. Kebu for short. He was Indigenous American and Black American. He told us that his name was the original name for the continent Africa.

When I learned this as a kid I was intrigued by this. The name is beautiful and it felt good saying it. Didn’t know why. But as an adult I see why it had been forcefully changed and erased. There is power in our ancestors language when spoken by it’s descendants and there is power in the name Alkebulan. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.

The origin of the word 'alkebulan' is Arabic. It is derived from the Arabic root adverb 'qabl' meaning before. 'Al' is the definite article in Arabic meaning 'the', and the suffix 'lan' is used to express the plural form of the adverb. Thus, the Arabic word 'alkebulan' literally means 'the ones before', which implies that it was a noun that was used to refer collectively to the original inhabitants of a place before the Arabs arrived in the land, or in modern terms simply 'the indigenous people'"

I would absolutely love to go see Africa in person. It’s beauty, foods, people, cost’s, mountains, pyramids in Egypt, as much as I could.😊
