144th DAY OF THE WORD FOR MEDITATION
TEXT:
Hebrews 10:1-18, "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."
MESSAGE:
THE ONE SACRIFICE OF THE NEW COVENANT HAS CANCELLED THE MANY SACRIFICES OF THE OLD TESTAMENT.
TODAY, IT IS ONLY THE DEVIL'S CHURCH OR PASTOR, THAT WILL ASK YOU TO BRING ANIMAL FOR BLOOD SACRIFICE ON YOUR BEHALF.
THE BLOOD SACRIFICE UNDER THE OLD COVENANT COULD NOT TRULY TAKE AWAY SIN. THE ANIMAL SACRIFICES UNDER THE OLD COVENANT COULD NEVER CURE THE SIN PROBLEM, BUT LEFT US AS A PATIENT WHO CONTINUALLY TAKES THE MEDICINE. FOR IN THOSE SACRIFICES THERE IS A REMINDER OF SINS EVERY YEAR. IT BROUGHT THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF SINS TO THE PEOPLE AGAIN AND AGAIN.
BUT THE WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS TAKES AWAY SIN. ONLY JESUS, THE PERFECT SACRIFICE OF THE NEW COVENANT, TAKES SINS AWAY. THEREFORE, THE ONE SACRIFICE OF THE NEW COVENANT IS SUPERIOR TO THE MANY SACRIFICES OF THE OLD TESTAMENT.
HENCEFORTH, SAY NO TO EVERY OTHER BLOOD SACRIFICE, DEPEND FULLY ON THE SACRIFICE OF THE SON OF GOD ON THE CROSS AT CALVARY. WHY? THE WORD OF GOD SAYS, "But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to the devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with the devils." ARISE AND PRAY!
