Hear so many horror stories it's hard to know who to believe, I was looking at a AGV K3-SV and my dad just laughed when I told him it's only £160. He's one of those diehard Arai guys that if it's less than £500-600 he's not gonna buy it, but I wonder how much of that price is for the name or features I don't care about like noise reduction.

For £210 delivered ($379AUD) Chromeburner are selling the X-Lite 802rr. Its a top of the line MotoGP spec helmet that only weighs 1200grams. Its worth shopping around.

If you are getting an AGV K3, get the K3 SV, it's much better value for money, has an internal sun visor, a rear spoiler, and it has a much more aggressive style

Can I just say I've got a agrius helmet it's a bit heavy which it's gonna be it's a cheap helmet but removable lining, pinlock ready and not to bad on the noise either

no weights and no info for glasses wearers. sad to see helmet companies not applying new technology and race knowledge to bring down prices and make bespoke fitting helmets

Can you buy helmets that are moulded to ones head? Cause my mate has "loaf" head, the other one has an "egg" head and I have a "square" head. We all have trouble finding the right helmet.

The K3 is a very noisy helmet, even with ear plugs. It's very cold in the winter, so I have to wear a balaclava regardless of closed vents. Earplugs have a hard job suppressing the wind noise.
I'd not buy another.

I also have a shark Race R Pro and race R Pro Carbon.
Regardless of model the shark helmet's are far superior quality in terms of fit and finish. Lighter too.
Best for sports riders as you can get your head up to look out unlike the AGV!

To a certain degree, you get what you pay for.
