This is a quick video on what the best motorcycles are that you should buy, and which you should avoid. We talk about a variety of different helmets that are worth the money, and which helmets are cash grabs and should be avoided at all costs.

This is all based on the research that I have done, and others may have different opinions.

Ok advice but when the title says "BEST" helmet and no mention of ARAI then it really hold no weight

I'm just starting to look into getting a motorcycle, and I'm so thankful for all the helpful guides for newcomers out here.

best & truest saying i've seen recently was on another vid talking about the importance of buying quality protective gear as opposed to cheap then realising you should have paid more at the start was 'buy once cry once'. GL & stay safe

Ls2 Vector II FF811 22.06 is a very good helmet . please don't say that Ls2 is not
Its NOT thermoplastic and has the best specs for the 250-300$ category .
everyone have to wear a good full face helmet that fits good and LIKE to wear it.
So, when you go to the shop, ask yourself "how much my head cost ? " and then go for the best choice that you can pay.
If you can get an go for it. For me, thats the best :)

Ps: good luck for the new channel . and us we say in Greece>>> Always stay up. ( its like>>Drive safe)

What matters most is if they have the ECE 22.06 safety rating and even Ruroc has it.

I wonder how many of those statements are based on actual facts and not only hearsay

I started out with a Biltwell 3/4 helmet, then moved up to their Lane Splitter. It kept my head safe when I high sided my bike and slammed me into the ground head first. After that I picked up an Icon Airframe Pro which is without a doubt the most comfortable helmet I've ever put on. Again it kept my head safe when I got him from behind. I found a LS2 on sale and figured I'd try it out. Loved the dropped down visor feature but after using it for a couple years I can tell the inside padding has worn out. I highly recommend that new riders just go to the store and try on different helmets.

I have had 2 LS2 lids and both were in the 250-300 price point. Things I look for is ECE and shell sizes. I require more than 2 different shells but the more the better. I try to get a new helmet every year at least abs always pass my old helmets down to friends that end up with the $100 amazon junk.

I have the ICON Airflite Nocturnal, and it's been wonderful. Only downside is wind noise.

I Think the ILM hate is not fair considering they are DOT and ECE 22.06 which is the same rating as other helmets you recommend and at that price range.

Just FYI, the FIM rating is LITERALLY the EXACT SAME THING as ECE. When they announced FIM coming to the market, they promised all these high standards and the like, BUT when they released it they used testing and standards that equate to EXACTLY the same thing as ECE 22.06, its just that FIM helmets WILL have that added Mips layer, but other than that they are nearly identical. So PLEASE, DO NOT pay the extra money for a helmet JUST because it says "FIM" on it. If you REALLY want that FIM rating then that's fine, but you are JUST AS SAFE in a Helmet with ECE 22.05 or 22.06.

I am obsessed with helmets. Shark and HJC make excellent Value to Mid range helmets. I love my Scoprion Helmets R1 Air Carbon and Fiberglass, and AGV 5S is excellent too. I was disapponted with Nolan, but it was their entry one. Shoei RF-1400 is quality king but does not always agree with fairing windscreens picking up a bit of turbulence at the top vent. Sena makes very quiet built in communication options, my fiance and I love our pair of Sena's even though only viable in black and white (boring). I like my ICON helmet even though it was quite noisy, only take out when I really want to look cool - they have great graphics. Great video with some solid recommendations.

Where is this video shot? The mountains in the background create such a dramatic vibe.

I have a VOSS 989 Moto-V helmet. DOT and ECE certified, pretty good price range, and pretty cool designs

ILM has their own testing lab. They do test their helmets with over 10 safety testing machines

Icon Airflite as the worst? Man you must be taking drugs. I do own 3 of them at this moment, and they are one of the most comfy helmets ive ever owned. I did have Scorpions, AGV, HJC, Shark, SHOEI helmets before and by far the Icon Airflites are the best of them. Only downside is the wind noise, but compare to my previous helmets, its still not the worst windnoise wise.

When I bought my first bike I bought a helmet. So cheap. Now I own a shoei and an Alpinestar supertech r10. When you buy your first bike, you buy the cheapest stuff you can. Good video dude
