This fly i learned how to tie just because it was a challenge that a friend gave us to do.... But, turns out that simple flies are very often great ones :)

This is short video compared to previous ones....
Stay safe

Cheers

Good work, don't be concerned about the negative comments, you said from the beginning you were copying a fly your friend brought to you.

This fly is La Mirage, my creation, and it is in my book Magie in CDC published in 2004 by Fly Line Ecosistemi Fluviali.

Superb. And so simple. I’ll definitely have a try at it although, as simple as it looks, I’m pretty sure mine won’t come out looking quite the same as yours! lol. Thank you for another one dude.

Wonderful, good construction but it's a roncallo dressing love from italy

This is so interesting. It reminds me of a New Zealand fly called the String fly. it's just a small piece of white string tied and and ribbed with thread, The tail is a small section unravelled. I'm fascinated by one material flies. :-)

looks sick and im going to give it a go. Is there anything you can add to make this fly even better?
maybe you could add a small section of grizzly hackle to imitate the legs

you're very talented! monster flies have no sense for me i'm very found of needle flies with slim frame fiew matérials( even in streams water) hard to see but so close to real insects sizes

Long time ago? Ahahah you are a funny guy ...This dressing belongs to Agostino Roncallo and you should have mentioned him ...Changing the hook doesn’t make it yours but unfortunately it happens with Italian food all around the world so why can’t happen with an Italian fly dressing right? What a shame ...

Excuse me, this is a bad imitation of Roncallo's flies Mirage, the type of hook used is not right for this fly. The Mirage is a fly published for the first time in 2004, in the book"Magie in CdC" by Agostino Roncallo

Not even beautiful as the original La Mirage Fly invented by the brilliant Italian fly tyer Agostino Roncallo long long time ago, almost 20 years ago.
