3 Signs God Is Purifying You for Marriage

How will God prepare your heart for marriage? One way God prepares us is by purifying us. By studying and applying Psalm 51, we can see at least 3 ways in which God purifies our hearts and prepares us for his blessings, including the blessing of marriage.

I literally wrote down a prayer in my journal last night asking God to purify me and I wake up to this..

I struggled with lust for a long time, but I kept telling myself it wasn't *that* bad since I wasn't actually *acting* on anything. I told myself that it would be easy to just turn it off if I got into a relationship. I would pray that God would take away my lust, but I wasn't really serious about it, just going through the motions.

God used some hardships to open my eyes and make me turn it over fully to Him. This helped me realize that I in fact hadn't been ready for the Godly relationship I had been wanting, but that He was purifying me to be ready for that when it's His time! It was only when I was truly serious about wanting to conquer lust that God changed my heart.

The way God speaks to me is truly remarkable... I've been struggling a lot with certain things pertaining to relationships/friendships, and some of my old defense mechanisms keep popping up because part of me has been resisting and not feeling ready to hear what He has to say up until today. Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to move on, I really loved her so much i can’t stop thinking about her and the memories we shared. I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail. I’m frustrated, and i don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts, but i can’t. Wow. Kept listening and kept saying wow. It's true, I always looked for everything I needed from the external world, including men. But when I got a message from the Holy Spirit that I need to stop looking for validation in men and instead focus on changed. I forget that I can come to God and ask for help. It hasn't been natural to as someone who needed to be responsible/independent and the rescuer for everyone. But I'm letting go and seeking God more frequently for all my needs and its pure joy, peace and confidence as a result. I am so BLESSED that God plan is unraveling and I am seeking Him and naturally preparing for a marriage that is destined to me by God ❤
