This arrangement of "Canto Ostinato" saw the light of day in 2007. Back then, it was created for a one-off chamber music project, but its reception was so overwhelmingly positive that this 'summary' of "Canto..." has since then become a recurring feature in percussion concerts I play. This particular performance took place on May 27th, 2010 at Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).

Het lijkt me prachtig, gewoon doen!
Lang geleden zong Björk "One Day" (MTV Unplugged, 1994) met o.a. gamelan. Het repeterende van gamelan maakt de song betoverend, dat belooft wat voor Canto Ostinato.

Als jullie echt Canto op de chromatische gamelan uitgevoerd willen horen, live, dan kan dat.
Het vereist alleen meer spelers (9). Ik heb al een stukje gearrangeerd voor de samples.

Interesting, did you receive an authorisation from Simeon ten Holt foundation, they are extremely strict when comes to this composition, they don't permit any transcription for other instruments.
