I'm switching from windows to linux to play fitgirl-cracked games WHICH linux distro should i install? and I have Nvidia graphics card

When i try to launch the game i get this error "The following components are required to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime"? The game name is "MadMan" from FitGirl. I just found another exe file, choose that and now game starts!

I'm a pretty tech savy guy. I buld computers since 2014 and I bult over dozen. I also have built a home server with disk array for file storage and I also fix devices such as PC's, laptops and consoles. I even have some linux experience with my private dns server and some docker containers. That being said this much configuration every time I want to play a new game is way to much even for me. Not only it is ridiculous on it's own it also adds to already lengthy proces of optimizing settings. Also my HDR OLED would be non HDR with linux. I hate Microsoft for what they did and are still doing to Windows (OS I have used since the dawn of NT line) but I still prefer it to any distro out there. Unless Valve create gaming oriented Linux kernel derived OS where everything just works and compatibility at all cost is a law like in Windows I don't think you will win me over. And mind that I'm not an average user. If you can't win me over good luck with less advanced users.

Ps. I hope Windows could go back to the glory days of Windows 7 but the way thing are going there will be less OS and more crap in Windows but Linux by it's very nature will probably never be able to compete unless it becomes like Windows was a decade ago and Linux users probably wouldn't like that.

Why did you use dxvk 1.9.4 instead of the default? And why did you change wine to proton? It gives better fps?
And another question, first you ran the installer and installed the game and then you selected the actual .exe file
Can I run the installer on windows and choose the game .exe file in Linux ?
