Auto closed captions not only help people with hearing disability but also help all the English learners. As a native Chinese speaker, I found it much easier to read English closed captions than to listen to English speaking in real time.

We tend to forget how lucky we are to have our senses and limbs working fine always

I am a person with disabilities and have always found technology fascinating. Disabilities aren't a burden; it is a bridge of diversity.

This is why I've decided to pursue a career in IT, and I've just completed the first step, the Google IT Support Professional Certificate.

Beautiful story! UDA and UDL benefit everyone, not only people with a disability. UDT ( don't know universal design for technology is a word yet) benefits everyone as well. Disability or not, equality foremost.

I love the part where, how technology itself, fit into each user use cases. Although it’s always “Start with the end in mind.”, along the way, some features / products, find its ways itself. Empowering each of them, perhaps able to discover what we haven’t understand yet.

If technology is the extension of human, or even all living creatures, then figuring out what needs to be fulfilled, on daily basis, perhaps, is the way.

thank you both for the awesome knowledge shared. i can hear ok but i automatically read caption, like when I was watching this video and when watching Netflix, youtube, etc., I find it difficult to see people in video and also read what they are saying but it still works for me 🤔🙂 yes I love farm life but I see how technology can internet happiness and include the old and new and all around to experience that which listens 🤪 thank you Google, keep up with your service, happiness is a new peak, everytime we think the sky is white enough.

I think Google tried too hard to fit their product into this narrative. They overused the buzzwords - disability, identity, etc. and kind of pushed Google's features into the storyline abruptly. By the end, it kind of lost its charm even though I feel for the disabled deeply.
