Another Boeing Disaster: South Korea Crash Piles on more Pressure | Vantage with Palki Sharma

South Korea's Jeju Air Crash is the latest incident involving a Boeing jet. Another incident followed on Monday, when a second Jeju flight faced issues with its landing gear, and was forced to make an emergency landing soon after taking off. Boeing began 2024 with the Alaska Airlines mid-air door panel blow-out incident. What can passengers do to put pressure on Boeing to improve its safety standards?

A retired Boeing employee told me broken parts were being replaced with used parts now and he said not safe to fly Boeing.

first they installed bigger engine which compromises the aerodynamics. Rather than re-engineering they designed software called MCAS to correct aerodynamics. This is insane to the core.

Boeing being an American Company will come out unscathed from FAA, despite a catastrophic and disastrous Airplane that is 737 MAX, which has claimed close to 1000 lives since it's debut.

Bird strike??
A late touch down on the runway may be caused by the wind or the flare, excess of speed, no gear, no flaps nor slats and a concrete wall at the end of the runway... What else go wrong???
Sade to see how family and friends lost their loved ones. All my prayers for the victims of this crash.

I flew an AIX operated B737-8 from BLR to DEL today morning 12 hours. after seeing the news of this crash. I had thoughts like Final-Destination movies during the whole duration of the flight.

This is a 15 year old plane, I highly doubt this can be the manufacturers fault, maintenance issues cause more crashes than manufacturing defects in this industry. Not to mention Boeing has more than a 60% market share in this category. I do agree that Boeing needs to get its shit in order, but this case was out of their hands

@Palki have u considered the pilot error theory “

If maintenance was not properly attended to they cant blame Boeing 😊

Not only that .. the KLM (Dutch Airline) had same issue on the same time with JeJu Airline .. Landing Gear malfunction. It's on the way from Oslo (Norway) to Amsterdam. Same AirCraft .. Boeing 737-800. Air Canada the same thing too. People cancelled Boeing 737-800.

What about the concrete wall which was the issue? They had made a successful belly touch down, could have been safe if that wall had been of a breakable material, as per guidelines. About the prime real estate and SK elite who control their media to keep the arrow on Boeng, and not on their worst airport design? Who designed and approved such a thing there? Why is that not being talked about?

_Two incidents with landing gears?_ No. One in Halifax in which the left landing gear did not deploy causing the plane to tip on its side with the wing striking the tarmac and another in the Netherlands. Unless grease is washed off gears and is replaced with new grease the simple addition of grease to the old layer that is in place will cause it to become waxlike from dust and age and the gears will stick. That happens particularly with rack and pinion gears. The first symptom is a delayed movement. Nothing happens when force is first applied, then it moves a moment later. In time it will not move at all and remain stuck.

Palki forgot to mention that Boeing cut corners by hiring lower pay Indian engineers and using sub par parts made in India.

The pilot can deploy the landing gear manually by gravity. the flight recorder is the answer on the anomaly.

There were 3 more in the last 48hours. Oslo, Halifax, Both 737-800 and San Jose 737-900

How many planes landed on Jeju from that side? Look at what is on the other side of the structure you will find a road. This is multiple errors combined in this crash.

And issues with KLM (Norway) and Air Canada (Nova Scotia) as well.
