In college, I met the woman who I thought was my one. We dated for about 2 years and had a big wedding after a 10 month engagement, her family was pretty well to do in a small southern town. We were both continuing our educations and I was also working to support us. I was pursuing a masters in engineering while she was finishing her doctorate in anthropology.

Over the summer an opportunity came up for her to make some extra money going as an aid on a religious studies trip to Jamaica. What do you mean he may or may not have deserved it in story 1… it’s against conduct EVERYWHERE AND ANYTIME for a professor / instructor to be in ANY sexual relationship with a student. Doesn’t matter what the boyfriend did to get revenge if it was exposed any other way he would have lost his job regardless… he shouldn’t even be allowed to be teaching in high school afterword.

The first one most certainly wasn't the jerk beyond deleting the dissertation. What do you mean the other dude maybe didn't deserve losing his job? He broke the code of conduct, having it publicly outed and losing his job over his breach of the rules is all he deserved.

The way I see it. Someone betrays you and ruins your life, I say fair play. To me you get double what you do. There is no such thing as an eye for an eye. You take more then the one in the wrong.

Quit being such a nice guy AITJ Guy. They both deserved that! They weren't just HAVING an affair, they were making FUN of the clueless Hubby! Do you realize how Bad that hurts, &How angry that would make a person after they know how loving, faithful, &decent THEY THEMSELVES were being?? They're lucky that's ALL he did. &He's lucky he was able to get things to work out the way they did. Vengeance isn't right, OR pretty, but it sure feels good in the moment!👍🏾👏🏾😆😅
Btw, the professor also deserves to lose his job, becuz obviously dating TAs, students, etc is A HUGE conflict of interest. That's why they were trying their damndest to keep it a secret!

Story 1 - The guy got the most epic revenge on them. I cannot fault him for doing that revenge. She clearly deserved it, as did the professor she was doing it with. They deserved everything they got. So no, I don't think the guy was a jerk, I feel he got justified revenge on a cheater.

Story 2 - Another revenge story which is pretty epic. The best part about revenge is, as hurt as you were hurt, is the amount of hurt they can inflict back. She tried to destroy his life. So her life is ruined now. So I don't feel sorry for her, especially for the drug charges. Even if she was innocent of that, she was still scum and still deserved to be in prison for that extra time.

Story 3 - I do feel bad for both daughters as well.
