Today I decided to take a look at a few of the current "pentesting" distros being offered to see if any of them might be worth making my "go-to" distro for hacking and doing demos! Maybe you'll see something that attracts your attention along the way? Only one way to find out!

Thanks Daniel, As a bit of noob I am really glad there are pre made distros to explore. I can imagine 're-inventing the wheel' let alone building my own custom distro at this point on my journey.

I used kali when it was called backtrack 4 ^^
It is truly my favorite OS.
I also love Parrot OS, i use it whenever i need to use my WIFI adapter and i don't want to redo the driver installs with some headaches.

But Kali is my all time favorite at age 14 i asked my mom to do the OSCP, but of course i did not knew what i was asking.
Back when it was called Backtrack 5 it was only 1k for a permanent cert.
On the bright side if my mom said yes i would lose the exam for sure XD so at least know we have guys like Daniel so we can prepare.

I just switched to Parrot for my daily driver as well, they absolutely killed it with the latest iteration. I'm a pretty big distro jumper myself but for whatever reason i'm really feeling the Parrot sec. distro and its been almost 3 months now, which for me is quite long. Love your vids man, keep on keepin on!

As a distro jumper, I appreciate your video and overview of these pentesting distros. I'll be trying out Predator-OS shortly! Nonethess, I look forward to your upcoming videos on these distros--especially with BlackArchLinux and its *fun* post-install attempts in updating/upgrading :/ (but adding the BlackArch repo on top of another Arch has worked flawlessly).

The best advise someone give me when I started was use good old debian. As you need tools install them, you will cry you will say screw it, you will break your VM but that is how you learn

Which I used parrot for the longest bit might experiment with black arch but went back for kali for now

Parrot OS is so good that i have changed my main os to Parrot OS Home (without all the pentest stuff) and i use Parrot OS Security for Cybersec things and it's blazingly fast and stable . For my experience is the best Linux distro .

Have you tried Commando VM. It's windows based. That was probably biggest surprise for me last year. It's on my list to try out just out of curiosity. :)
