Hey everyone, I wanted to do a different type of video today. I wanted to share with you some key mistakes I made on my journey as a newer, younger Christian. I hope you find it helpful and you'll avoid some of the mistakes that made. Have a great weekend!

One of the mistakes I did when I was a younger Christian was that I used to “look down” on people who I thought who’s sin was worse than mine. I was self righteous and a legalistic. Praise God for showing me truly that all have fallen short and that there is none righteous!
I can only praise the Spirit of God for His convictions and work in my life.

Thank you Mr Parr....this is a long awaited video!

Spiritual maturity to me is the ability to commit to studying the bible and being humble enough to allow the Holy Spirit to use what you learn to transform every area of your life no matter how challenging it may get.

I had a "holier than thou" mentality when I first got saved. It ruined a friendship and possibly steered him away from God more than he already was. I still feel so much remorse for that.

15 years later and I still consider myself a new believer. Thanks for the content.

I currently struggle with the self-condemnation when I sin. I know that if I repent, God will forgive me, but I still struggle with that.

I have been saved for over 50 years. I made mistakes and I am sure I will continue to make mistakes. I'm not perfect, only forgiven. God Bless you all.

I was that Christian for many years that only listened to worship music an went to church/small groups/ Bible studies/ bible camps. The Bible was the huge piece that was missing in my life, and now I’m reading it almost on a daily basis with a New Testament reading plan set out by my college ministry leader, and I’m enjoying the word of God more than ever especially during this time. God opened my eyes to what should be the main focus when studying God.

My biggest mistake is being to reliable to God to the point that I became to incompetent. I became a part hippie/bum. LOL. Thankfully the almighty father had shown me that I still have my free will thus still having the power of self-choice thus still having the power to implement self-discipline.

Before I became a christian I was a workaholic and finds satisfaction on earning that money, which leads me to think that working hard is a sin. But He made me realize that I should just shift my reason of working hard for money to "working hard for God"...

I recommend to watch the video though...😊 I took this for my reference.
1. Not getting into bible based church. Carried away by emotionalism pathen being grounded on sound doctrine.
2. Idolizing ministry leaders; living for their approval
3. Blindly trusting the teaching(wrong interpretation) without researching the Word of God on our own.
4. Thinking that serving God means He owes us something in return. He already gave Himself as a sacrifice.
5. Unhealthy relationships around for being convenient comfort and resulting in distraction in our ministry.
6. Acquiring knowledge in word of God indicates spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity is about putting Word into practice.
7. Not understanding the importance of repentance. God honours repentance.
8. Worldly affairs, physical relationships with people leading to constant struggle between flesh and the spirit.
9. Living in condemnation whenever sinned. All that is needed is to confess and get cleansed rather than hiding in remorse.
10. Broke with people who entered into debate/disagree on difference in opinion on word of God/faith.
11. Forcing faith/belief on others immediately rather than waiting for God to open their hearts.

The last one resonates with me greatly. I need to always remember that it is God who calls, God who draws and God who saves and not I or the person I am evangelising to.

I became Christian about a couple months ago. I struggle with spending the whole day watching TV at times but also wanting to spend time with God. I had the feeling I was failing as a Christian. I was also worried about falling away. I don't want to fall away or disappoint God in any way. I also had the same thoughts about Spiritual Maturity. I really want to know God and have a strong relationship with Him. I also have times where I struggle with whether or not Im saved. When I officially accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior a couple months ago, it was almost 2 AM. I randomly began thinking of how I was living my sinful life was breaking God's heart. I got on my knees and cried. I apologized to Him for the way I was living and that I broke His heart. I asked for forgiveness and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and confessed my sins and repented. Does that mean I was saved at that moment?

7:26 😭😭😭

Mr Parr I had that exact problem! I thought my KNOWLEDGE of Christ's word meant that I knew God's heart. I was consumed with pride and became extremely judgmental towards other's. This also greatly affected my prayer life because it became about "showing off to God" as I would quote scripture rather than opening up my heart to God. I'm glad that you shead light on this matter!!! May God help us cultivated humility.🙏

When I got saved in my early 20s, I was in a group that ranged from 19 to 35 years of age. We got together for Bible Study and fellowship. We were introduced to this Evangelist and we would study with her. She convinced us that we needed to speak in tounges to prove we were Christians. She was actually trying to teach us how to speak in tounges. We thought we knew it all. When our Pastor found out, he called us to a meeting. Out of his love for us he talked to us and the meeting ended in prayer. To this day we often talk about what he did out of his love for us and the Word of God. We are now 52 to 65 years of age. This group has become Pastors, Ministers, and Ministry leaders in different churches. That's a lesson I will never forgot.
