Disturbing Video Game Music 146: Remina (Omori)

Welcome to late October. Let's start with my favorite game of 2020/2021.
Discordant piano notes have always been disconcerting to me but particularly in this game with piano melodies being a common motif, it very much spells out that something is very wrong. Oh and I'd like to speculate a bit over why this song is named after a lesser known Junji Ito story, so some major spoilers for Omori and Hellstar Remina below.
The most obvious reason is Omori ties a similar symbol to the massive planet threatening the very livelihoods of the people of Earth in Remina to Something, in the single eye. However, you could also draw a comparison between how the young girl also named Remina in the short story gets blamed for the global threat with how Headspace starts treating that version of Mari as the actual problem in the Hikkikomori route, as in she gets all the blame while the root cause of the problem is ignored.

Scare Factor: 7/10
Reminds me of that one song used in 2001: A Space Odyssey, except with random piano notes over it. Creepy stuff.
