How to Speak with a Fundamentalist

The topic of this episode comes from a listener. He wrote in part:

“Your videos are infused with insights that aid the nondualist in speaking with dualists. However, there is not (or at least I did not see) a single video that addresses these insights together. This request may seem counterintuitive: why should a nondualist need to defend themselves? Sadly, I come from a large family of Fundamentalist Christians, and I am constantly harangued because I am not a Fundamentalist. … Unfortunately, as you may imagine, I do not get very far when I share my view in this way, and so, I would benefit greatly by a video of the aforementioned suggestion.”

His actual suggestion was worded as “How to talk to a dualist.” I am calling this episode “How to Speak with a Fundamentalist” but it applies to non-fundamentalist theists as well.

I've been exploring Christianity for the first time in my life and I'm in love with it but sometimes I'll come across some strict fundamentalist or doomsday message and it just makes me feel a little sick. Marshall is there a list of questions you could point to me that you normally use to ask fundamentalists?

You can have Fundamentalist dualists and non-dualists - took at Fundamentalist Hinduism in contemporary India. Also why cannot non-dualists be Theists? The essential message of Jesus is non-dualist - we are one with Jesus and Jesus is one with the Father so we are one with the Father. There is a Father whom we know through the Son/Logos. The knower and the known are one, there is only God.

Stones in the following parable symbolize hard, painfully hitting accusations with which to kill the Self-awareness of God in us. And the Jews symbolize that subconscious knowledge that God is great. But without having understood yet that God's greatness is his love for us, that he was and is willing to experience everything we experience, as us. Even though for God to experience being but human is the crucifixion and hell. Until to our benefit he comes to Himself and his life in us. As an example for all of us:
"I and the Father are one.”
At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him. But Jesus responded, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?”
The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”
