Tbh if it's a great mechanical watch, i would buy it tbh. The reason is simple, in like 50yrs, they will be pieces of history, something you would barely get or something you need to hire someone to do for you. + I can just look at the worksmanship and appreciate the rare work of art.

Would have been nice to hear their response! Kind of a lame video otherwise. I hope he bought the watch. I’m in a similar situation and spent $7100 on a Tag. I’ve never regretted it. Yes, it’s a splurge, but I think it is beautiful and I finally did something for me rather than always being a saving investor!
