Samsung Galaxy Ring Review | Two weeks later...

Reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Ring, the first finger-based wearable from the Korean giant, taking on Oura and other smart ring rivals. I've been testing the fitness and sleep tracking smarts of the Samsung Galaxy Ring for over two weeks now so here's my final verdict.

The major problem with this wearable is the UK asking price of £399. Even without a subscription to pay, that's a lot of cash being slapped down for a fairly basic fitness tracker. The Samsung Galaxy Ring isn't as precise as many watches when it comes to measuring your health stats, although it's a good alternative for sleep tracking if you're into that.

I have found that the heart rate measurements, exercise monitoring and SPO2 smarts aren't quite as good as dedicated smart watches. But the Samsung Galaxy Ring does offer some basic gesture controls which work well and will hopefully be expanded upon in future updates.

If it can't react to other activities than walk/run, & doing a cack job of those, it seems pretty useless... Although I would give them a little bit of credit for them not charging me extra every month.

At that price point, opting for a smartwatch makes more sense, the purpose of the ring eludes me. Perhaps in the future, if they devise a method to control your phone, tablet, TV and PC through gestures or similar innovations, it could be worthwhile. However, as it stands, it seems like a scam.

You can get a proper gold ring at a reasonable purity for that price. And it won't devalue after 1 year.

I don't wear traditional watched so its nice to have something discrete to do basic health tracking. I like the sleep tracking and imagine its less noticable than a smart watch. Not to mention the battery life cause yoi would probably need to charge your smart watch at night.

Could you maybe do a xiaomi turbo 3 or realme gt 6 neo review? Or better yet a review of both and a comparison video between the 2? Considering both phones cost 200-220 pounds on aliexpress it could be a really good videos to make considering they have 8s gen 3s while both of them together cost less than the Samsung ring😂
