[Tech Tips #1] Epson Eco-Tank Power Cleaning Procedure

If your Epson Eco-Tank printer doesn't print all the colors as it should, and the nozzle cleaning doesn't correct the problem then the manual tells you to try and power clean the head. The instructions aren't so clear, so I made a video showing you how to do it. I hope this helps!

I sure hope this works. I followed Epson's instructions when a printout was totally unreadable. I cleaned the heads three times, as instructed. The black was fine but colors looked like yours. I shut down for 12 hrs tried again but same results.

Your video made the power cleaning so easy. Now I need to wait 12 hours and, hopefully, my results will be the same.

This was brilliant... I too had done all the cleaning, nozzle checks and really didn't have the stamina to face Epson's instructions... I couldn't believe how easy it was and it worked! Thank you SO much!

First of all, freaking BRAVO! The other vid I watched said push the two buttons and that was it! This, of course didn't do squat. That was it! Lots of yapping about his cleaning pack and no help with this issue. I'm doing the Power Cleaning now, after exhausting the nozzle business and head business. If it works, I'll be grateful! If not, I'm still grateful and sending the thing back! It has NEVER printed! The inks are full. Deep breath!

Power cleaning actually recharges the tubing to the print nozzles like a 1st time install. It is very important to do a power cleaning if you have used a nozzle cleaning kit and nozzle check still shows voids.

thank you so much! I did so many nozzle checks and all the other cleaning that it clogged and just stopped. I had an order I needed to ship out and your vid were so simple and quick. I am doing it right now. Yesterday the printers shop (refilling shop) didn't told me about it. Maybe they don't know because they print a lot. ;) They told me to print more. If the power cleaning don't work, I have to say thank you anyway.

Thank you so much. I've been trying to sort for a few days now. I forgot to reset my ink levels after I last filled up a few months back so figured that maybe did something so ran the head and nozzle checks a few times but nothing changed.
I've just ran the power cleaning and the nozzle check and all is now good, I think I will wait the 12 hours before topping up my ink and resetting the ink levels. Great video and saved me buying a new printer.

Thank you so much for your useful video and subscriber comments. I had done so many nozzle checks and head cleanings for weeks. I would get one color or another that just wouldn't print, even though it printed just the day before. Drove me nuts that the colors would change as to which one wouldn't print that day. I didn't want to do the power cleanings because I had read that they were not advised. I finally figured I HAD to run the power cleaning as the last resort. It worked!! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge!
