Best Linux Distros For GAMING in 2023

When people think of gaming, Linux isn't exactly the first operating system that comes to mind. That’s fair because Linux isn’t treated as a first-class citizen when it comes to gaming. But Gaming on Linux has come a long way in the last half a decade. While it was always possible to game on Linux, the titles that worked flawlessly on the platform were few.

Im probably gonna go with nobara in the end. Since lenovo legions have support for it and Imma get that laptop. Its nice to have all the necessary stuff pre installed.

For me, the best distro for games is Pop!_OS because it's completely out of the box and easy for new users.

I have been used POP OS to work and gamming for more than 1 year, and I like it, bisides Im runing a very old CPU: Phenom X6 1100TB w 16GB DDR3 w a RX580 ( going to upgrade to Ryzen 5600 in somedays), I play some hiend games like EVE Online. sometimes my FPS is better than in windows, I like to play many games, not just the new ones, since there are too many "GOG" games I ve not played. POP fit good to me. and bisedes I've anold machine I can play and record w no problem. I will do a comparation in the next weeks when I get the my machine. cheer folks,

As someone who dual boots Windows and linux, Widows is still better than Linux in gaming and you can play most of the same emulators on windows if not more.
