Those strands could be the hairs that bee's use to collect the pollen or hold onto it within the pollen basket.

You are so knowledgeable! Is microbiology your vocation or is this a hobby… or both? I love your videos!

Because I know how good you are with electricity, would you mind making a video covering the birkeland eyed reaction? It's been put on youtube before, but it's incredibly ineffective, and I would like to see you make this better. Thanks for the amazing content!

Just curious if the small micro organisms swimming around were in the pollen or in the water used to prepare the sample?

The thing you couldn’t identify could be the hair of a bee or part of the flower. Like how a dandelion has a kind of pointy flower, could be like that

Using a microscope certainly help to clean and remove those debris from the bee pollen. 😊
Bee pollen is costly. The taste differs when choosing Australian versus New Zealand pollen.

Thank you for the informative scientific video production. 👍👏

Starch has birefringent properties? Well, shit 😂❤🎉

Could the debris be the stalks the pollen is attached to on the plant?

Maybe some kind of microstructure of the anther, or pollen sack?

Can you do whey protein, casein, and micronized creatine powder? The latter of those I’d be most interested in

I heard pollen was interesting under a microscope but I never expected it to be so interesting. One day I was out in the Jersey Pines and noticed the pollen was beginning to fly. You could see a light green coating on top of the puddles. So the next day, I brought my microscope out with me. I dipped a slide in a puddle and just scraped the coating off the top of the water. It was amazing mostly because it was brightly colored and all sorts of different shapes.
