Interesting video. In terms of strict formal grammar, "It is I." that is correct rather than "It is me." The Latin rule is that the subject case is used instead of the object case when the "to be" verb is used. However, during informal conversation people often say "It is me."

@monteverdi79 No, because it would be lacking a subject. "me" and "her" are always used as objects, and "I" and "she" are always used as subjects. Every sentence need a subject and a predicate, in your sentence, the predicate would be "going", but you're still lacking a subject, so you would change "me" to "I".

Thanks for video. It gets complicated in sentences like “I’ve never seen a smarter person than her is (she is?)”. Or “I’ve never seen anyone as smart as she (her?)”. Also I don’t understand why that popular movie about artificial intelligence called “Her”, not “She”.

I have found an exercise that has the options they and them so if the rule is to use after the verb the object pronouns why was the corect answer was "Are they tired?" and not them after all it is followed after the verb right? I want to explain this to a student. Can you help me. Thank u so much!!
