This is a Motormouth couple car review of the Mazda CX-5 Turbo. The Mazda CX-5 compact SUV competes on price with many mainline SUVs but this top turbo model ha many of the same features, power and handling of many of the premium SUVs like the Audi Q3, Volvo XC40, the Mercedes GLA and more. This compact crossover has a 2.5L turbo-charged 4 cylinder engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission and it pumps out 250 HP & 320 lb-ft of torque on Premium Fuel or 227 HP & 310 lb-ft of torque on regular gas. The inside of this CX-5 comes beautifully equipped with red leather seats, white trim and black dash. The CX-5 in Canada comes with an 8-inch display audio screen but in the US this same product features a 10.25-inch screen. This is a major issue as this older head unit isn't just smaller but rather slow to start up. The GT turbo model comes with LED front and rear signature lights, Leather trimmed upholstery , Heated and leather wrapped steering wheel, Driver seat memory, Heated and ventilated front seats, Heated rear seats, 8-inch touchscreen, Apple Carplay and Android, Power lift gate and 19-inch wheels.

The CX-5 is so fun to drive. Had mine almost 2 months so happy I went and test drove this car before making a final decision. The new bigger infotainment system is also very nice.

Mazda knows how to make a quality vehicle. I just had to retire my 2010 Mazda 3 after 461, 000KM. It was a work vehicle that was for driving around all over Ontario. I will most likely be getting a Mazda CX-5 for the family.

I recently test drove CX5 GS with the comfort package and CRV Touring. Yes the CRV definitely has a bigger rear seat and trunk, but I found the CX5 so much more enjoyable to drive and I’m a Honda guy!

Love my CX5 100th annniversary, the red interior did it for me - but have not figured programming the radio after 5 months. It was easier in our 2019 RDX ASpecs (white on red leather also) . My wife is now the main driver of the CX5 and she loves it!

Beautiful SUV, overall! I love the red seats but not so much the red carpet or white accents. I would just get the Signature trim. I would choose a top trim Mazda over a bottom trim German vehicle any day.

The CX-5 is a serious contenders in the mid-sized SUV segment. I can see why you two like it so much. It really does offer great value and a premium look and feel inside and out. I also like the 100th anniversary trim too.

I put a deposit on a 2021 CX-5 Signature (Red), can't wait to pick it up. I liked Q3's acceleration more but CX-5 is quieter on highway and has more features for the price.

Wish my wife could be a mazda fan girl like you. I love Mazda as well, so much so that 4 of 5 of my previous cars were mazdas. I currently have a 2016 mazda cx-9. Plan to buy a mx5 in the near future.

I test drove the CX5 Turbo, Rav4 Hybrid, Escape Hybrid as well. What did I end up buying? Subaru Outback XT Outdoor. Price, practicality, comfort and power won me over😁

I see many of these Mazdas on the roads. I like them. I’ve felt rather neutral about them. But after watching Fangirl’s infectious, albeit biased, passion... It makes me wanna take a closer look at them. Thanks for an entertaining review. ... I mostly watch these videos to remember what grass/yards look like... without Snow.
