This video helped, thank you. I needed to adjust white balance in different parts of my image, as I had three different types of lighting in the street shot. Thus creating three different colours in the scene. I needed to brush over these to change them to the same balance for the overall image.

Watched multiple videos on white balance and was still confused. You really made it simple and now I completely understand. Thank you.

Nobody has ever explained white balance as clearly Jim, thanks, ,

Hi Jim, I live in the Ogwen Valley in Wales, which you visited last summer. May I just congratulate you on your videos on Luminar 4, they are very informative and easy to follow. As far as I'm concerned they are the best videos on the subject. Thank you very much for taking the time to help a novice like myself.

Very helpful. It happened that I was 200% wrong about using the white balance (I hadn't even noticed the RGB values). Thanks again for helping us mastering Luminar 4.

Top explanation on how the dropper tool works Jim, have never thought to look at the numbers before. I like the idea of being creative via layers. Am learning lots from you every day, thank you.

Thats the first time i have really understood how the dropper tool works. Great explanation Jim. Like you all my photos are shot in RAW and then edited. This series has helped me enormously. Top man!

Well, who knew! Those numbers on the dropper mean something! Now it seems obvious, what 'pick a neutral colour' means - the RBG numbers being equal - I always thought WB only related to picking a grey 'neutral' and didn't even heed the numbers. Another light bulb moment, watching your videos. Thank you, Jim.

Watching the promos I pre-purchased Luminar 4 when it first became available not knowing what to expect. Then I found your channel and have been following you ever since. I use the combo of Capture One 12 and Luminar and until the update just released found it continually crashed but persisted with it as I liked some of its features. The new update has changed everything and is both stable and a lot faster on my system, and together with your YouTube videos I love what it does for my images and allows me more creative thinking. Just wanted to give a big thank you Jim for your Luminar training which always has a gem tucked inside for me to exploit...Pete

Loving your videos Jim. Great work mate, keep em coming.

I start to be addicted to Luminar 4 as it speeds up my workflow like crazy for photo editing. I still use PS for my prints but for digital output it’s a must.

Jim - Great video. This is the first time I really feel I understand white balance. Seems to me that using the Dropper and experimenting would be a great way for a novice, like me improve our understanding of the impact of color and tint on images.

Shooting in RAW and figuring it out later is my way. Like you, I am always in Auto WB. Keep them coming, Jim.

Great tips on White Balance! Any tips for using a Color Checker with Luminar 4?

Good video Jim. I have always had questions regarding setting white balance with the eyedropper. Nice to know about equalizing the RGB settings to get that neutral color. I appreciate the info.

Wow Jim how did you know I had a 3 questions that you answered? Haha. How to split WB of a photo, how to do WB for a snowy winter scene and if I’m not using WB to give it a try. Thanks for answering those three points in my mind. Excellent video as usual. Your photo example here looks like our gloomy sky here in Seattle lol.
