Luminar 4 Tutorials || Part 7 || Correct Perspective In Your Photos & Get Your Verticals Straight!

Показать описание
Let's look at how to correct perspective in your photos. Often when you photograph architecture and tilt up towards a building you'll end up with converging lines in your shot. Sometimes what you want (or your client if you're shooting for an architect or designer) is nice parallel lines in your frame. In Luminar 4 it's an easy to fix to get your verticals and even horizontal lines parallel using the transform tools. In this, part 7, of the Luminar 4 training videos, we'll look at some professional architectural shots. Both and exterior and an interior, and how they're corrected for the final image.

This video is part of a series of training videos I created at the request of Skylum, and I'm re-sharing here with my audience with their permission. The complete playlist is accessible through my channel and there's a link at the end of the video too.

The course is aimed at helping beginner photographers get started with the software, whilst at the same time showing what Luminar and its artificial intelligence engine is capable of. If you're a Luminar 4 user or are brand new to this photo editing program I hope this video series is helpful to you.

So you are a trained pro photographer and although you’ve probably spent most (all?) of you career working with digital tools available, do you own a tilt-shift lens? I always wanted one but the price was just phenomenal. It was cheaper to work with large format plate cameras because they were by design capable of handling converging lines.

I’m really glad I found your YouTube channel: you have a great teaching manner to back up your knowledge.

Excellent tutorials, short, the point and precise. I’ve now watched all 11 of your Luminar 4 series of tutorials. By the way, I believe you are only one of three teachers on all of YouTube that doesn’t start off every episode with “Yo - YouTube what’s up”, let’s dive right in”, or “without further adieu”. Thanks .

Your tutorials are so informative and easy to follow along. I too take architectural photos. I have only recently downloaded Luminar 4 and didn't realise that this tool was available. I'm going to have fun with this. Looking forward to more hints and tips. Well done.

Hi Anthony. I am so glad I found your channel. Your teaching style really suits my learning. Can I ask, If I have a number of sky's myself. Can I or how can I, save them to use as Sky AI enhancements? Thanks for reading and thanks again for your input on this channel.

Thanks for this tutorial, I often have to rotate an image due to not holding the camera level. When I rotate I loose part of the image, or introduce blank canvas. Then I crop to get ride of the blank canvas. My question is why scale the image and then crop? Isn't cropping the same as scale + crop? Thanks for any clarification you can provide. New Luminar user and channel subscriber.

Have you thought of using the inpainting or erase tool to get rid of the "grey" borders which are the result of perspective correction? Many of the created "blank" areas are grass, sky or the edges of buildings. I have used this in Affinity and will try it wsith the "erase" tool in Skylum.

Can you do a tutorial showing a blended layer with one flash and one ambient layer. Does Luminara have any way of aligning layers?
