I don't think you should be afraid to say that you don't like the Spanish entry and that you prefer others, or that you like those from other countries more. Your musical taste is as valid as that of the others: this is Eurovision, it is music and each one must keep what they think best. Eurovision is not a war, it is a meeting place. Sorry people are rude! It’s totally valid that you and your friends preferred other songs. The Benidorm songs would always have appealed to a variety of tastes, and nothing in the final was bad.
Personally, I love Eaea and think this performance will stand out and impress, but who knows how the international public will take it on the night.

Sanremo never factors Eurovision when they're choosing their winner, I love them for that, and I'd like to think that BeFest is slowly learning to do the same. Quality should be the main factor. Not Eurovision. We are on the right path.

Your opinions are always very respectful and I think there is no problem in saying that you don't like something or that you prefer other options because they are more cool for you. I am very sorry for the comments of rude people, they do not represent us. I personally support and believe that the option of Blanca Paloma is a proposal like we have never commanded in Spain and we are finally taking a risk with something personal and that represents us. But it is totally understandable that not everyone understands it or that not everyone likes it.

Shane, I love how respectful you are always in your opinions. Blanca Paloma is not your favorite? Where is the problem? From what I've heard in your previous reactions, you seem to think that she is lovely and that her voice is amazing and flawless, and so do I. I'm Spaniard and love Blanca, her voice and how emotional are her performances. The song is beautiful, but will it do it well in ESC? Not sure. But I'm sure she will give her all to bring the victory to Spain. No matter if She does it or not because she is amazing although the song is not my kind. I've realized that when I watch ESC with lots of people in what we call "Eurovision parties" my perception of songs change a lot and I only have good impressions on "party songs" and completely ignore or even dislike slower songs. That's why when Jamala or Salvador Sobral won I was like "WTF???" but watching their performances the next day alone in my house I realized how wonderful those songs were. I think Eaea is one of those songs that "lonely" viewers will appreciate the most in their homes while party viewers will be like "OK, now I'm going to the toilette". And I think the first group is larger and tends to vote much more than the second :-)

Paloma was my favorite, with Agoney a close second, but I’m mostly happy that the Spanish people chose something that they loved and not something that they thought would necessarily win Eurovision.

Really thought Vicco improved SO MUCH last night! And Megara were good too! But I think Spain made the right decision. Even if the televote won't appreciate this so much (the televote here proved that wrong), The Jury SHOULD give it the love it needs. I wasn't a fan originally of the song but the last two performances have proven that Blanco deserved this. It proves a returning artists CAN come back and win! I would recommend ALL Benidorm fest artists to come back next year! The standards this year were SO high!

Everyone has the right to have their own opinions 😊 I don't like neither Spain's or Norway's songs and I would not listen to any of them at home, but I think both performances are great.

I still thinking that Megara would have been the best choice. They offered us a truly, authentic and complete show. It would have been very different from Spain and original, but well 😔. However, I'm so happy for Blanca, she's an incredible singer and a beautiful, ellegant, kind and sweet person ♥ Wish her all the best!


It is true that flamenco is very instense and it is not a type of music for everyone (in fact, I don't like it at all), BUT we receive every year lots of lots of lots of tourists who love it and enjoy listening to it in live performances :). So, let's see what happen!

I am from Spain, and it's honestly so sad you had to deal with that sort of hate. It's embarrassing how much can pride affect some people. At the end, this is a song contest, we should just enjoy the music and performances! I personally do not like Eaea, I do not feel represented by it and I would really doubt this formula will work for international audiences (people comparing Blanca to Jamala are just nuts, sorry). However, if this is what the majority of the country has chosen, then so be it :) Blanca will have my support as well and she's definitely very talented, that's unquestionable.

to be honest, I think this is the type of the entry that can potentially do well after being poorly understood by some people (most likely because it is considered too "artsy"). similar to "Suus", "Love Injected", 1944, "Amar Pelos Dois", "Zero Gravity", Voila, Shum and "In Corpore Sano".
