What YG is known for - a legacy of rap line excellence, huge stage presence with live vocals, trendsetting style, self-producing (though not every group), having fluffy soft and cute personalities in spite of their appearance, For dance their groups are often a mix of different skill levels so they don't necessarily aim for super synchronized dance--more like dance with room for individuality to come out by doing their own little touches into it. In general there's a lot of room for individuality in this company, like they'll often pick visuals that are unique, vocals that are unique, personalities that are unique.

WINNER was a 5 member group, now 4 (1 member left in 2016). They're from YG entertainment (They won a completion *WIN:WHO IS NEXT in 2013* As Team A and they competed against Team B, who are now iKon). They debuted in 2014(the 1st Male group in YG 8yrs. After BigBang) and are a very unique group from any other kpop idols. They were labeled as Monster rookies as they won all the rookie awards in 2014 and are also the fastest artist to Win on a music show (4/5 days after debute). They write/compose their songs and choreograph their own dance most of the time. WINNER always comeback with different genres (Pop, Ballads, Blues, Jazz, Dance, R&B Soul, Dance, Hiphop, Tropical and etc...) 

They're known as the "Trust and Listen" group by the Korean public because every music they release is top notch and if their name is attached to it, the S.K public listens without hesitation. They're also Summer and Festival Kings as most of their Title songs were released during the late spring and Summer seasons and its vibes. They've also been one of the only Boy groups to be invited to University festivals (mostly solo artists and girl groups are invited). And the General public knows almost all their songs by heart. They had a Guerrilla concert in 2022 and over 20k people came to watch them (Mostly general public). Though they dont dance a lot in their music videos, their Live performance and dance practice videos are wonderful. They always perform Live and are so chill when performing. *YOON* - Blond Vocal, He's the youngest to Win on King of Masked Singer (He won 6x consecutively). He was on Superstar K (he placed 4th on the show) when he was 17 years old and is the only person to win Rookie of the Year twice (one by himself in 2010 and another one with WINNER in 2014). Him and the other members are solely responsible for writing and producing their own music. Yoon wrote/produces Really Really and it was a very critical time for them as one member left the group (in 2016) and their future was uncertain. However, Really Really was an instant hit and became the First and only Group song to reach 100 million streams while still charting. He originally debuted as a solo artist in 2013 and made a comeback in 2021 with the album (PAGE). He said he wanted to put his group WINNER first before focusing on his solo project.

*MINO* - (Main rapper- The 1st rapper in the MV - 2nd Youngest of the group). He is a rap god! He is the most versatile rapper out there and his Killing Verse shows it! He is known for his rap and is also a variety star. He has the most solo albums released amongst WINNER members. His song Fear from Show Me The Money 4 is still the most popular songs of the show. He's an incredible lyricist.

*HOONY* - (Main dancer/Lead rapper - 2nd rapper in the MV - 2nd Oldest of the group) He joined Kpop Star as a dancer but ended up doing rap as well. He placed 4th on the show. He is first and foremost a dancer/choreographer and a rapper. He does most of the group's choreographies for their songs (He jokes how YG never really hires a choreographer for them because he doesn't want Hoony's talent to go to waste) but in reality, we think it's to not spend $ on them so that it goes to other groups 😂. He's a verity gem and very creative when it comes to being on shows. He plans to release his solo album this year 🤞🏽

*JINU* - (Lead vocal/visual - The 1st vocal in this MV - Oldest member also called fake maknae because he looks the youngest) - He is the visual of the group and also the Lead vocal. his voice is so unique and has so much range. He Originally wanted to be an actor but became an idol first and now pursuing his acting career.

Jinu&Hoony enlisted in the military in 2020 and were discharged in 2022 (they had their HOLIDAY comeback in 2022). Mino&Yoon enlisted in early 2023 and will be discharged in December 2024. They’ll have a comeback in 2025🥰💙💙💙💙

yg is known for having amazing live performers, which is quite frankly, pretty rare in kpop these days. would suggest that you try out their killing voice, that one has subtitles now.

the blonde dude yoon, imo is one of the best vocalists in kpop and mino is among the best and most repsected rappers. they weren't rookies by the time this song was released but they just came off a long hiatus after losing a member. really really was the song that saved them from possible disbandment and pretty much set their musical identity as a four-member group

Hooky is exactly what most of Kang Seung Yoon's songs are. He's the blond. Has one of my favorite voices in kpop. I may officially be an EXO-L, but I'm an unofficial Inner Circle. The albums of this group are just so good. And Mino is a stand-out rapper his solo stuff is also amazing.

You probably heard it from other korean groups. This song is super famous back in 2017 and a lot of artists did a cover of "Really Really".
Well, this song is still famous 'til now. I can still hear it on the background of a Chinese variety show.

YG is known for producing the best rappers in the industry. Their artists are also known for having distinct voices.
They are great live performers, so you'll never go wrong with watching them live.
YG emphasizes on letting their artists enjoy their performance so that their audience will also enjoy watching them. Thus the saying, "No YG, no party" is born. They give importance in connecting with their audience, not just simply singing and dancing on stage.

WINNER is a 9-year old group who produce their own music.
They are known as "Summer Kings" and also considered as one of the "trust and listen" groups in South Korea.
WINNER is originally a 5-member group but its 5th member left due to health reasons. Now, they consist of 2 singers and 2 rappers. But all four of them can sing and rap.
Their fans are called Inner circle or "Inseo". Their official color is Nebula Blue.

just wanted to add to my previous comment, winner is quite different from the other yg groups (maybe even from other kpop groups) and they know it—there's a line in their song "movie star" that says "let's not live as other people, even if we are fated to do the most to survive". melody-wise it's not their best song imo but it's a statement of who they are as performing artists and the bond they have with their fans. they're more known for their happy summer anthems but i personally prefer their ballads.

extremely hot take but i think blackpink may be a blend of badass girl crush of 2ne1 and the classy finesse of winner. if you want to try another act that is different in yg and continue your dynasty series i suggest you check out akmu, a really popular sibling duo loved by korea and suhyun (the sister) has the most beautiful singing voice while her brother is a really good composer. they debuted in 2014, just a few months before winner did.

Winner are while in line with their label brothers, probably the more unique sounding. YG is generally a fun, we don't care too much about idol image label. It started with hip hop groups. Though they did have mild choreo for 1TYM and attempted a gg in 1st gen, BigBang was their first real idol group but they brought the hip hop energy to kpop. Winner being the next boy group after the Kings of Kpop was a lot of pressure but they forged their own path while maintaining that YG core. Yoon (blonde) and Mino (1st rapper) basically write all of their music, there isn't a Winner song that wasn't mainly written by a member (or ex). They did debut as 5 back in 2014 (monster rookies, they were the fastest rookie group to get a win), but after 2ish years a member left, there was a bit of a hiatus and they came back with this song in 2017 and it was EVERYWHERE. While not as popular with western fans they are incredibly popular in Asia but very much so with the general public in Korea. That's maybe one thing YG has over other companies is they were really able to tap into audiences who don't listen to kpop from early BigBang days in Korea. While yes other groups will have songs that are soooo popular it does seep into the GP, the GP is usually more up and ready whenever YG groups do something.

Really Really was released as a double title track along with Fool, which has the exact opposite vibe to Really Really; it's a sad ballad with a gorgeous MV (and has several storylines/clues that hinted at its overarching story), which is NOT black & white (so the blond hair being dyed patchy theory is probably not it 😂). Definitely worth checking out.

Also Really Really was released in their 4th year (3 and a half, to be specific) and a few months after a member left (they debuted as 5).
