Antique & Vintage Shopping & YouTuber Sightings at Mega Show

Even a downpour can't keep them away! We're set up to sell at the giant Springfield Antique Show in Ohio, where sales are brisk even throughout a big washout as hungry collectors and serious YouTube viewers and content creators brave the storm to find their favorites.

Costume jewelry, Fenton and Viking art glass, beautiful baskets and fun ephemera draw shoppers to our booth, while our neighbors and friends add everything from Morgantown elegant glass and Haeger Pottery to metal outdoor furniture, cowboy collectibles and 1970s home goods to the mix. We sell up a storm, then head inside to find true antiques and some vintage bargains of our own!

Nashville has come to Ohio, in the form of a pavilion dedicated to the Plein Air art, primitive furniture and sophisticated antebellum decor that populates high-end shows in the south. We discover an amazing collection of 19th century American flags (and debunk the Betsy Ross story), see a scarce time clock from an obscure early American car factory, and enjoy the beauty of leaded glass barrister bookcases! A lovely pair of experienced antique mavens teach us about Scottish fern ware and tartan ware, while explaining the real reason that people need to come see these antique shows.

Some powerful WWII ephemera and political memorabilia help us contemplate future choices, while vibrant Blenko glass and a high-contrast 1980s mirror that's too cool to pass up lure us back into the sanctity of our happy antique show bubble! We meet a lot of fun YouTube viewers and resellers (including several new to us), show what it's like to navigate the show's renewal process and bring a little more 'behind-the-scenes' look at the ups and downs of doing an outdoor antique show.

We look forward to repeating this feat at the September show in Springfield, Ohio this weekend, where beautiful weather is expected this time!

12:39 oh my heart!!! Ferns are part of my soul. I think in a past life I was a non-human tender of wild ferns. Yes, I’m woowoo like that.

Good evening, George. That weather wouldn't bother me a jot. I love a thunderstorm. I'm sure it was rough on all of you that were selling, though. I liked that Dutch Boy doll, and the Buster Brown shoe store piece. I have a child's Buster Brown tea set. Those boxes...al of them...were fantastic. Old boxes have always interested me. The fernware was something I could see myself living with easily. I _really_ liked that! There looked like a lot of carnival canes where the tramp art was. Those are something that I like. Aaarg! I want that barrister bookcase, with the leaded glass fronts. I spotted a tumbler, in that irradiated glass lot, that I would've liked to have...if it hadn't been monkied with. It was a Heisey piece. Loved the Empire Revival library table. There were a lot of things there that would've really tempted me. Thanks for the tour!

Thank you for sharing your Extravaganza video! I was so happy to have found you today and say hi. Just so happened that I found my crazy daisy Cinderella bowl in the size I needed shortly thereafter. Thank you for visiting with me for a few minutes. I had a great time and look forward to next season, although I hope not as HOT!
