Burton on the Water!!! Loved staying there! Was my favorite by far in the Cotswolds, because the river running thru it was what gave it the best charm!

If you've not been ... I highly recommend on one of your trips to England to visit Coventry. The cathedral is a transcendent place. On the night of 14th November 1940, the city of Coventry was devastated by bombs dropped by the Luftwaffe. Hit directly by several incendiary bombs, the Cathedral burned with the city.
The Ruins are the remains of a medieval parish church, consecrated to be the Cathedral of the new Diocese of Coventry just 22 years earlier, in 1918. The ruins exist adjacent to the new part of the Cathedral. Just walking the grounds and exploring the ruins was a pretty spiritual experience and speaks to the resiliency of the English people and their regard for history of their country.
