Today we are hitting the road to Vancouver, Washington to see how many thrift stores we can swing by in one day and to see how much profit we can make thrifting in just ONE DAY! What do you think of today's haul!? You can probably guess which is my favorite find!! 🥳 💃 💰

My name is Laura and I am a full time vintage shop owner and I've been self employed for 8 years selling my vintage finds online, in flea markets and local vintage malls. I love to resell 2nd hand and vintage items so they can live a second (or third or fourth) life!

I've got new design makeover episodes in the works, so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss when I drop a new episode =)

New vintage items are listed on the First Friday of every month!

I found a vintage lunchbox at, i heard a crumbling noise like paper when i touched it, i thought maybe the inside was deteriorating but I loved it so much that i bought it anyway. When i brought it home i found $260 inside a secret pocket

There are hundreds of Youtubers who put out thrifting content, but you're the only one I watch because it's actually informative and interesting with your voiceover comments! I really can't get enough. Sometimes, I'll save a video to watch on a bad day because it'll make me feel better. Thank you for making these Laura!!!

I met a really cool gal in Goodwill last night. She saw my cart and was intuitive enough to spot a "newbie". She helped me put back and spot deals... BUT BEST OF ALL, she directed me to you!!

I'm not a reseller. I'm 69 so a lot of the things you collected came from my youth. I am very impressed with your education of the pieces. I recognized many items from my past and had to laugh at the value. FYI the see through frog was used as a soap or sponge holder by a sink. To be honest I aways thought those frog or owl porcelain pieces were ugly decorative items. But for years I kept the 'made in China' pieces my mother had received with flowers in them after giving birth. My mother would have said the same thing, so I understand the draw. In my youth I was a potter. I really love that you placed high value on the artists and their work. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I've been decluttering because I've downsized to a very small space, but those collectable items draw me in. I wish I had been a reseller of vintage items. Thank you for the fun ride.

A huge part of making money from thrifted items is having an eye for items people will want. You have great style!

11 thrift stores in one day!? ELEVEN!!! Respect 🙌🏾. I can barely do 3 before feeling like I’m about to die 😂.
But again, I tend to wander in every aisle 😅

Tip for getting wax out of candles- stick it in a freezer for an hour. It will pop right out. No wax residue or very little and makes it easy to get what’s left out.

I'm amazed at the things people throw or give away. Truly one man's trash is another man's treasure 🙃❤

This brings back memories. When I would drag my two young ones and a 3rd in a backpack to garage sales on Saturday and then to flea markets on Sunday. They loved it and my son still wears a gold pendant that we got during that time. Lady said she would sell it to us for 25 cents if he would wear it. That was 45 years ago.

As a former smoker and genuine mid-century modern human, I am pretty confident that your owl was NOT made as an ashtray. It may have been used as one, but real ashtrays had notches or little tiny trays to hold your cigarette while you drank alcohol. As a person who lived through the owl craze of the early 1970s, my guess is it was a planter since it’s open on both sides. I love your enthusiasm and upbeat attitude. It’s a treat to watch you and I will be subscribing. I hope you’re based in Canada because the prices you’ve mentioned seem rather high and I live about 50 miles from Washington DC, which I know is expensive.

My Mom just shared this video with me, and now I am a new subscriber. We have been selling vintage for about 20yrs. in a local flea market. It so gets in your genes! I absolutely love the hunt. I look for more 40's-50's vintage girly glam collectibles, but I like a lot of your finds today also. Thank you for all the great information!

The key is living somewhere where there is a great selection. It looks like your stores are loaded. Also a tip for people reading this comment. Your best selection will be at non corporate local thrift stores. 😉

The mauve vase is from a company called Zanesville out of Ohio. They had a lot of teal and, later, that pink glaze. It's characterized by a thick glaze, often with firing flaws like poors and some crazing. They are never signed because the original owner said they were so famous they didn't need to be stamped or signed. I collect the teal/blue green pieces. This rose color is lovely!

Im from Australia & new to yr channel im a 57 yrs young hippy
I love how informative you are, you truly know yr stuff, you did great & i like the value you put on peoples handcrafted goods, i handcraft a lot of items myself & they are usually worth more than we make & id love to see you style the items you bought, its always nice to see how someone else would do it 😊
I only wish we had as many cool thrift stores as you guys do on yr side of the world 🌎

It would be really valuable to do a follow-up video with the actual realized profit (money in hand), I love these videos and watch many other thrifters too, but I suspect many are also aspirational figures of anticipated profits; yes, these are the prices at Amazon, etc. but how much do people really fork over? To keep it real, it would be great if those who do these videos do a follow-up where they compare what the hoped-for profit was and what the actual one is, if that makes sense. I know I'd love to see that. You have a great eye and congrats on all of the great finds

Your knowledge of art and pottery is amazing. The ability to spot a designer piece at a glance is invaluable for your purposes.
I like that you have a " lane " and you stay in it, in that you are honed in on what you sell rather than a scattered approach. It takes practice to achieve focus like that.
Amazing haul. I am crushing on that sterling silver cuff bracelet. So pretty. I would not be able to part with it. At least not right away☺️.

I'm amazed how all that pottery and other pieces have no chips or damage. That would never happen at my Goodwills.

I'm laughing because this has been me for 40 years and my family all laugh at me. And you just remind me of me :)
