The graph of y=f(x)+k (where k is a real number) is the same as the graph of y=f(x) only it's shifted up (when k>0) or down (when k<0). Similarly, the graph of y=f(x-h) (where h is a real number) is the same as the graph of y=f(x) only it's shifted to the right (when h>0) or to the left (when h<0)

Right, have been needing these recently as a university student studying EE lol. Phase shifts are really tricky if you have a shaky foundation of transformations of functions. Don't skip the foundations, kids!

I understand it's simple but I have a question. Why does adding h to x doesn't affect the Y value?
If Y is result of function of x then change in x value must change Y value too..
