Another way I like to look at vertical translations is to look at it in slope-intercept form y=mx+b, since that's pretty much memorized by now. You are moving b which is the y-intercept up and down.

hi do you know how to find the points for g(x)=f(2x)-5 with a point that goes through (6, 3)? please i am looking everywhere to try to resolve this problem.
