Considering the Gift of Life

One of the most prevalent myths related to organ donation is that medical care may be compromised if doctors and nurses know the patient has signed an organ donor card. This video, created by the University of Rochester Medical Center's Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network in recognition of National Donate Life Month 2013, shares the thoughts of some health care providers in upstate New York about their experiences with organ donation and transplantation, and illustrates how that myth is far, far from the truth.
