Man, I dig this guy's energy, so I subbed. He's not all over you, he doesn't care that he has just a few subscribers, he's just letting you into his life. Best of luck in all that you do, Michael.

I like the fact that Apple doesn’t over pack unnecessary additions into one item but puts more emphasis to power inside productivity one device can output. Their hardware value is realized over time, the forward compatibility & longevity makes a lot of sense. The ProXDR monitor is prolly going to be relevant another 10 or so years even the third, forth party users will find these more useful many years after they turn obsolete. I find the Apple Cinema Displays from 1999-2011 in 2023 still offering very crisp clear images and working on them is awesome. 2008-2011 models are even much better with refresh rate & image
/video quality than the average to high end other recent brands today claiming to offer so much. So Apple really wins in some ways.

I have an XDR and I love it. I have had it for two years.🤠

A little late to the party but if you're still looking for speaker recommendations: it really depends on whether they'll just be for media consumption or if they are to be used for reference during editing. For the former, I'd recommend Presonus Eris 5, they are insanely good value for the money and pack quite a punch despite their small frame. For the latter, I would recommend Yamaha's HS line (5, 7 or 8, depending on the size of your room). I personally have the HS5s in my home studio (I'm a film composer). They are renowned to be one of the most brutally "honest" studio monitors out there. There's a sort of saying that goes: "Your work will sound like garbage on Yamaha HS speakers. But if you can make it sound good on them, then it's guaranteed to sound good everywhere else."

I am confused, a base model Mac Mini with a $5, 000 monitor? The RAM limitations are holding you back from fully utilizing that Monitor.

They should be coming out with a new version this year

Nice video dude. Just bought the mac mini and was also looking at the Pro XDR. But its a tough call when the monitor costs nearly 10 times the amount as the computer that I'm displaying on it.

It's sick seeing you do tech content!

You did exactly what I want to do. You got the mac daddy monitor to go with the mac mini instead of the Mac Pro tower. It saves you a lot of money.

How is this monitor holding up? Do you wish you got the non reflective glass? or is the standard working just fine ?
I have this in my cart just not sure if I should spend the extra 1K for the textured glass.
