ive had my budgies just over a week and im still trying to get them used to my hand being near them in the cage.
if im holding some millet i can get my hand right next to them and for the first time today, i managed to get bambi to sit on my finger.
it was only for 2 minutes and when i tried to move my hand with him on he jumped off

“Their bites don’t hurt” 😂😂😂😂😂 that’s funny, my first bird was a female budgie that fell in love with my brother and started laying non fertile eggs and if anyone other than my brother touched her she would bite you so hard that you would start to bleed.😂😂😂🤯🤯🤯

My budgie is 2 months old and i got her 2 days ago. I already have her mostly handtamed and she doesn't bite. She knows my voice and is not as scared of me. Dont worry, i gave her the first whole day in her cage so she could get used to it. She is also letting me pet her. She is a sweetheart. 😄😄😄

We rescued a cockateel and I have two budgies. The cockateel likes to bite when you touch her cage next to her. She was badly treated. I don't want to approve her biting but it seems like when she bites and I ignore it, that she calms down really quickly and let's me give her attention.
