This means, with two IGBT the current from the capacitor directly behind the bridge rectifier is more equal and at the output there will be less ripple voltage.
On PC motherboards this technique is used too, they use a slight phase shift on every step down converter, so that the step-down converter do not want to get the current to the same time. Maybe every step-down converter activates the MosFET with a time gap of lambda/4.

Firstly, I would like to say that I love your videos, I watch them all and always like them, and I had just fixed a Fujitso that had a communication error, the defect was in the IC ULN2003, but I have a doubt: I thought that the reactor was used to prevent the capacitors from charging too quickly, increasing the initial current too much, which could cause damage to the board or even in the rectifier bridge, since a coil does not accept a rapid variation of current, it would prevent the capacitor from charging quickly. Washing machine has a coil in series with the motor starting capacitor and I believe the purpose is to prevent the capacitor from charging quickly.

It's possible to bypass the PFC circuit if IGBT and driver IC are damaged? Often expecially in Inverter Aircon boards this IGBT fail but the power is so low (less than 1kW) so this circuit is basically useless and probably used only for EM compatibility.
