I just receive my new DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus with the upgrade motor and ESC.

I taken the top off to show under the hood, compare with the old DJI Phantom 2 Vision + to get idea on the changes.

Hi Jack. It's Shane here whome you sent your old gimbal to. I havnt received it yet but as soon as I do I'll let you know how I go. That's was a great informative video. My friend also has the version 3, I can confirm they have changed the gimball motor connection which commonly comes apart and rips the ribbon cable. The whole gimbal assembly is also more shiny, it could mean different material used but not sure on that.

Thanks for showing the inside Jack it confirms that there is obviously a problem with the gps hence the modification to the gps screened cover which is the way I did mine using hvac sticky backed alluminion foil tape covering the old cover three times. By the way it looked like your gps plug was not connected the way you reacted when you started to lift the cover. Need to keep a eye on that incase it's a loose fit. Keep the videos coming would like to see videos on windy days to see how good the phantom is at maintaining it's gps position now that you have a spare one. Would also like to know where and how the gps is fitted on there new quad copter.

Jack... i solved it... removed the FC200 firmware v1.3.0g and installed the previous firmware which is fc200 firmware V1.2.5g. It works well now on playback on samsung note 2. Thanks. I hope this well help to some of your followers.

Other people(Simon) mentioned they also relocated some electrical components. I believe the receiver is in the top of the battery bay. It could get hot because of little or no ventilation. Could have a look and see if they have relocated any electrical components.

On the new one is the gimbal arm (the part that bent on you) different? I saw a comment on one of the boards that felt it was made a little stronger.

Hi Jack， Where did you put the photos? I had a look at your google+ I have done some screen shots and added them to my collection. I noticed they also rerouted some cableing. The interestion is the one they run over the NAZA(away from wifi?) and it leaves an impression in the GPS shielding.

Hi Jack have you had any problems with your new v3 version with the esc's I hear they are burning up in turn sending your phantom into a rock in the sky, as you pointed out the cables seem very thin, I'm really worried about taking mine out now especially as a month ago I had a fly away!!

Hi. I would like to ask why my dji phantom 2 vision plus v3 cant playback my captured videos? I did use new sd card and still the same. When i played it on my samsung note 2 it says.... video could not be played.. my cam settings is 1080 25 and i did try to lower it all till 480p and till same issue. My unit is fully charge also. Any idea?

Do you think its possible to back track the previous firmware v1.2.5g? So that no more issue at all on playback on my note2? Where i can find the previous firmware dji only have tge latest one v1.3.0g.
