I once helped a chair to cross a busy road. Later that same day I had an interview at a very powerful company. At the interview, the chair on the other side of the desk turned around and lo and behold, it was the same chair I had helped earlier. There was no one sitting in it. I interpreted the chair's expression as an invitation, like "Welcome to your new office, champ!" So I sat in it. The chair obviously didn't like that and I got thrown out of the building by security chairs.

I was thinking as it went on that it sounds like every cliche scene in tvshows/movies and only realized it was a parody when it got to the part where he'd meet the chairman and I knew there'd be the dog there lol.
