Funny thing about the phoenicians is their biggest colony became so powerful it had its own colonies and almost ended the roman empire before it began

I love that you gave this history! The Phoenicians are one of the most impactful and yet least discussed early civilizations!

When im feeling stressed, hearing talk about connections and philosophy or religion or expressive freedom it make me feel like maybe there is some logic in the world. Beautiful work!

I just saw that your most recent video with your son had its comments disabled and that is just heartbreaking. I don’t want to know what it was you read that made you make that decision but I am so sorry

The possibility of the phoenecians rounding the cape of Africa is fun history to look into. Also there is evidently some idea out there of a connection between the phoenecians and the basques as well.

fun fact, phoenician 'red' was almost assuredly closer to what we would call a deep violet today, and Phoenicia's dyes are a large reason why we still associate Purple and Blue with royalty and nobility today.

The modern phoenix has, effectively, no mythological base and is more a fusion of themes of many historical myths from around the world, including the Phoenix, the Fenghuang, Zhuque/Suzaku/Vermillion Bird (from whence it gains its symbolism as a spirit of fire).

Your art is as stunning to look at as it is to watch you paint. ❤

Ok after finding put that your a fan of extreme metal i was wondering if you could draw a band logo or album covers. It would be sick to see you draw terrasite from cattle decapitation or as gomorrah burns by cryptopsy.

Love your stuff! Been using some of your daily ink monsters as inspiration for my Druid of the Blighted Lands in D&D. :)

For anyone wondering about the circle he drew at the end, its most likely Ouroboros or the Ensō circle (probably, he can confirm)

Ouroboros is a snake eating itself and it symbolizes the circle of life, death and rebirth. So i think it fits more

The Enzō circle is "the enlightement circle" or the infinity circle. It does look more like that but really your guess is as good as mine :)

Edit: Also i love your art and im turning 18 this month and honestly the first thing im doing is getting one of your pieces tattooed, havent decided which one yet but man i love your work!

Edit2: Its the Ensō, i watched back through his videos and its tattooed on his chest so that solves the mystery :)

Wow, that is amazing! 👀
I've seen your Cthulhu drawings, but can you draw Hastur? 😎

here's a fun one in my opinion: draw Nothing. That's not a stab at anything I wanna see what comes to mind when you hear the word Nothing. It's just an interesting exercise to me is all

I just came from the Ghost plain vid and wanted to say both were very lovely but I personally like Sirius's drawing more. It just captures the spookyness much better and looked very dynamic like a shark 🦈
