Hilarious when you were surprised when the disc was flat. The website had curved ones in the listing, and you actually got what you ordered.

David, I think you missed the option on the grinding wheel. They did have options that said "Bevel Wood Grinding Disc", "Arc Wood Carving Disc", and "3PCS/SET". I'm sure you would have loved the set and thrown the Turbo Plane away. 😁

5:50 That Uiern ad shows a "loose" tape measure as an example of how you need their "super precise" measuring tool. Tape measures have a small amount of travel at the end to account for the thickness of the metal clip so that you can measure using the inner and outer edge correctly

I love how Uiern showed a tape measure wiggle as a flaw in accuracy.. It's *supposed* to do that so you can use it pushed up against something or pulling from something 😂.

That grinding blade is super sketch!!
1st thing that came to mind was "Air Disasters" aka "Mayday" that explained the UA 232 accident- metallurgical defect of turbine disk.
Massive titanium alloy disc breaks apart and cuts hydraulic lines.
I'm just imagining that blade breaking apart as it's spinning and it goes right through the person's liver!

The cheese grater disc was also Saker in the description on that site, but you would need one of the spacers for an angle grinder and the low profile lock nut to get that thing close to working. It will make a nice anti slip coaster or a heavy duty washer for a bolt that acts as a lock washer 😂.

You bought the flat disc for the angle grinder. They had curved ones on there too. You'd also be just fine without the guard with that as well, there's pretty close to 0 chance of a catch, just with the way it cuts... I'd never use the turboplane without a guard though.

I'm a CNC machinist at Woodpeckers, and I took the job because I love using their products, and I've developed a relationship with all of the engineers, and most of them buy the Chinese copies of their products just to see how bad they are. FYI, they're ALWAYS really bad

These videos are great. Love the "calling out" on the barrage of adds that we all receive. Also makes me mad that so many people spend their time and energy just trying to "steal" from trusting people who may not be able to afford bigger brand name tools.
