Part 1 day in a life as a CNA (nurse Assistant)

I'm getting ready to embark on my journey to becoming a CNA, I take my classes next month and will hopefully be working at an assisted living home soon, I'm tired of having just a job and would like something that can lead to an excellent career path and the pay is too good to pass up, define nervous about the class stuff, haven't been in school in over 11 years now but I'm ready to kick ass and make some serious bread 🍞

I've been a CNA for 31 years now, it's a rewarding experience. I've always worked in geriatric care and enjoy that field. It's a rewarding experience but it is also very stressful at times, especially if you're short staffed and the nurses refuse to answer call lights. You are only 1 person, and if you have 3 or 4 call lights going off at the same time, that's where the stress starts to kick in. I've also had nurses tell me.. honey, I didn't go to nursing school to wipe butts. SMH.. we are ALL there for patient care.

You’re lucky you can work as a CNA with those nails it’s for bidden where I work ! It Hass to be trim and shorten / maintain !

As a CNA your nails should never be that long. That’s the first thing they teach you along with handwashing .

I met someone in the hospital changing my mind from working in plumbing to doing this my body is so tired and im dealing with so many surgeries im starting to think its for a reasonable reason from god

Working to become this myself. Never thought I could till my gramps had a stroke and I had to take care of him. Said I could never wipe an old man ass but here I’m doing it for free. Gonna become a nursing aid so I can pay for school to become a physical therapist. Sorry my grammar is all messed up but it’s 3 am and I’m tired. He woke me up to move him up and fix his blankets. 24/7.

You can’t put any dirty linen touching clean one so don’t put dirty pillow case in bed I don’t think you can I don’t remember can’t also put pillow on bed side
