Asking Muslim Women Where They're From #muslimah #muslimsisters

For #InternationalWomensDay we asked Muslim women from our ISB Sisters program where they are from! Where are YOU from? While the answers were fun, we must also remember to keep those sisters (and brothers) who are from countries that are experiencing oppression and suffering, in our duas today and every day, inshaAllah.

_

We are ISB Sisters, the umbrella for all events for Muslim women held at the Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB) a masjid (mosque) in the Baltimore Maryland area, USA.

As a muslim woman living in germnay, watching these beautiful muslim women being together in a community made my heart so warm...for me its kinda lonely here😢 wish our town had a nearby masjid so at least i could go see more muslims at least during Ramadan.

This might get lost in the comments... But, we should start teaching people about the muslim region in Europe called *Sandžak* (pronounced Sunjack). It's an overboarder region in Montenegro and Serbia that used to belong to Bosnia until 1878. and that got occupied after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1912. It's still a muslim majority region (60+%) and connects Bosnia and Kosovo. Not many people know about it but Muslims from Sandzak (Bosniak ethnicity) needs to connect with the muslim world a bit more. Hopefully, the world will start talking about Sandzak a bit more. Assalamu alaikum from Sandzak (Montenegrin part).

I teared up seeing the 3 niqabi sisters. May Allah allow me to raise righteous children regardless of where I raise them. End times worry me a lot.
