Frédéric Chopin - Prelude No. 4 (trans. Tárrega)

A curious transcription in which Tárrega puts the melody in the bass.

Played without nails as Tárrega, in his later life, would have done.

Tarrega has hit the target here! A good arrangement of Chopin's prelude and a good performance! Dark spleen!

Excellent performance as always Steven!👏👏
I must confess that I got to know this Prelude via Jimmy Page's version. But this transcription by Tarrega is really very nice!

sounds like you are using flesh here! Very dark and sonorous! Great, great playing! You and Rob Mackillop are my heroes when it comes to flesh playing!

Wasn't aware that Tarrega arranged this one. This arrangement definitely leans into the darker aspect of the piece. I've thought of doing this one as a duet straight from the piano arrangement, but never got around to it. Liked and shared.
