@Thunderf00t would approve of this video. There is a cult of personality surrounding Musk and I don't get it. He has promised and never delivered on a lot as well as outright lied fairly often. His Hyperloop is a joke and was an insanely stupid idea. I completely agree that electric cars are not the answer. They are just a small stopgap.

While I do like the idea high-speed rail to say it eliminates the need for personal transportation is ridiculous. Maybe to someone who has spent their whole life in a city wouldn't understand that?

High-speed rail is great for replacing the freeway system. It's not so great for travel within a city or metropolitan area because the train system would have to spend a lot of energy to get up to speed only to have to stop a comparatively short time later when it reaches its stop.

As for Chinese high speed rail, Japan had its system first and it works well.
