Hades scolds Thanatos about Zagreus

I've been capturing some Thanatos moments from the Hades game and I wanted a place to put them! so here's the scene where Hades finds out about Thanatos helping Zagreus and gets angry with him.

thanatos is so duty-sworn and work is everything to him...except for when it comes to zagreus. proves just how deeply he's in love with him. the writing in this game is everything

This dialogue is absolutely incredible, such a powerful lovely character moment but how Thanatos's voice cracks while saying "He and I...." It's SO funny to me. It's like the most expressiveness we've heard in his voice and the logical part of me knows he is full of True Fear at this moment at what punishment Hades might inflict on him but it also just sounds like he just got caught sleeping with Lord Hades's son and is Panicking about it. Like. "My lord....I uhhh. He and I, we um. Your son...he...hm....uhhhh" Amazing interaction 10/10

The last time Thanatos took an involuntary holiday, when Sisyphus had him locked up, it turned out to be a terrible idea. So I guess Thanatos has the ultimate job security.

The way Hades' voice dropped when he said 'You dare to lecture me' was terrifying. If I were Thanatos that would have made me teleport to the other end of the Earth.

Oh my god the "<sigh>" caption doesn't do the voice acting justice, it was more like he got hit right in the heart and the wind knocked out of him
And who could blame him? Mr. Duty Bound, Mr. Job Comes First, and he looks the god he considers his boss in the eyes and says "lock me up in Tartarus, I'm helping Zagreus, sort your OWN shit"
This is someone who KNOWS what the bite of chains feels like. Holy shit

You really have to love that Hades actively recognizes the Underworld is still only his realm to manage but its denizens don't owe him their lives. They all still have their own choices, the best one is to just abide by the House.
