Gus could believe what he was hearing he had to get back into CHAPEL'S HEAD
to tell him that he was the reason why they're at Yankee Stadium right now, He's the guy that 9 guys on this field that absolutely 💯% you tonight,
So don't think about what pitch or just throw to the dumb ass if they hit it we will catch it.

I have to feel like every perfect game in history had a similar conversation. At least in the sense of "We're gonna be awesome for you right now". There's something incredible about how teams come together and rally around their man on the mound whenever something like this starts to become a reality. It doesn't matter if it's because every guy wants to have his part in history made; every guy is on his toes to make sure their guy gets it.
