Jocelyn Alo exits the field one final time in her Oklahoma career

All-time home run leader Jocelyn Alo got the chance to play outfield in the final inning of her college softball career — the 2022 Women's College World Series clincher — before one final curtain call in a must-see emotional sendoff.

OU softball is incredible. Amazingly gifted elite athletes. I put OU softball only behind football on the impact it has for the school and the fan base it generates.

That had to have been so hard, knowing that was her last time on that field, on that stage. I was bawling, but not just because of that. Back in March, my dear, sweet mother passed away. Diehard Sooner fan. I just can't help but think she was somewhere up there, smiling. And here the baseball team will be playing for the natty. I'm so looking forward to the celebration for the softball team. Last year I went. I enjoyed it, it was worth it. But SO I can't begin to imagine the shape the softball program was in when Gasso first got there in '94. Fun fact: That was the last year the baseball team won it all. Will they get #3? We'll see.
