I was wondering how will this fare with G-Sync gaming monitor (144 Hz, LCD). Worried about the positioning of the camera. From such a top view, colors on display will seem very distorted and dimmed... anyone has any experience?

Is there any backlight that works directly with the Smart tv? No connection from consoles or tv recievers. Only the signal that comes from the smart tv. I googled and cant seem to find one.

Using a camera seems like a really janky and unsatisfying way to do this. Why not just use the video signal itself?
