As much as this is impressive innovation, I still love putting charcoal and lighting my original classic joe and controlling the temperature myself with the original daisy wheel, temperature goes up slightly I adjust it, goes down, I adjust it. Makes the end product more rewarding. Putting a temp and a time into a computer?? Takes the fun out of outdoor/kamado cooking for me.

I do admire that Kamado Joe consistently releases new products that can bring in new customers. I myself prefer charcoal and fire starter. But i do like this. I have a big joe, joe jr, kettle joe, and have considered getting a classic. If i buy a classic size itll probly be this.

Let's talk warranty. You love us when we buy it but your manual (per a youtuber video) gets worrisome about "water". As you know electronics and water yada yada yada. If this thing fails because of water and/or humidity will you have our backs or will you simply refer to legal terms and say we warned you about water.

Ouch.. huge opportunity missed. Great concept, but 2 things: Should have made it battery for power, propane bottle for heat.
